HOLOPIS.COM, JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto summoned PT Pertamina (Persero) President Director Simon A. Mantiri to his residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday (Aug. 10), where he issued directives on improving the governance of state-owned enterprises.
During the meeting, Prabowo ordered the government to reduce organizational layers as well as the number of subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries within Pertamina, PLN, and other state-owned enterprises.
“During the meeting, President Prabowo also ordered the reduction of organizational layers and subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries within Pertamina, PLN, and other state-owned enterprises,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a written statement, as reported by , Monday (10/8).
The restructuring is intended to create more agile and productive state-owned enterprises. By shortening bureaucratic chains, the government expects decision-making to become faster while maintaining operational efficiency.
“The streamlining is aimed at accelerating decision-making, increasing productivity, and maintaining efficiency across all state-owned enterprises,” Teddy said.
Prabowo Reviews B50 Biodiesel Program
During the meeting, Prabowo also received an update on the progress of the B50 mandatory biodiesel program, which requires a 50% biodiesel blend, as well as infrastructure readiness for the planned implementation of mandatory bioethanol.
The programs are part of the government’s efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s energy independence and resilience by increasing the use of domestic energy resources.
“The President Director of Pertamina reported on the progress of the B50 Mandatory Program, which was launched by President Prabowo last July, as well as infrastructure readiness for the government’s preparations to implement mandatory bioethanol,” Teddy said.
Prabowo has continued to push two key priorities: strengthening Indonesia’s energy independence by maximizing domestic resources and ensuring that state-owned enterprises are managed more effectively, efficiently, and in line with the interests of the country and its people.
