HOLOPIS.COM, JAKARTA – Ajang penghargaan tahunan Game Awards mengumumkan daftar nominasi tahun 2023 ini. Yang menjadi sorotan adalah nominasi Game of the Year termasuk The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dan Super Mario Bros. Wonder dari Nintendo, dan remake Resident Evil 4 dari CAPCOM.
Game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom juga memborong nominasi yakni untuk Penyutradaraan Game Terbaik, Penyutradaraan Seni Terbaik, Skor dan Musik Terbaik, dan Aksi/Petualangan Terbaik. Super Mario Bros. Wonder juga dinominasikan untuk Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Family, dan Best Multiplayer. Resident Evil 4 juga dinominasikan untuk Desain Audio Terbaik dan Aksi/Petualangan Terbaik.

Acara penghargaan Game Awards ini sendiri akan diadakan pada 7 Desember di Peacock Theatre di Los Angeles.
Sekedar untuk diketahui, tahun lalu, game Elden Ring besutan FromSoftware dan Bandai Namco Entertainment memenangkan Game of the Year di ajang The Game Awards 2022. Game ini juga meraih tiga penghargaan lainnya di ajang yang sama.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land memenangkan Best Family Game, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope memenangkan Best Sim/Strategy Game, Final Fantasy XIV mendapatkan Best Ongoing Game dan Best Community Support, Splatoon 3 memenangkan Best Multiplayer, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom menjadi Game Paling Dinanti, dan Bayonetta 3 mendapatkan penghargaan Best Action.
