My Mind & Me menceritakan kisah tentang Selena Gomez yang memulai perjalanan karirnya hingga sampai saat ini. Gomez, memulai karir di usia 10 tahun dalam serial anak-anak Barney & Friends, sampai menjadi wanita seperti saat ini di usianya yang ke-30 tahun.
Proses perjalanan itulah yang digambarkan Gomez, dalam lagu My Mind & Me dan juga film dokumenternya. Pasang surut karir maupun kehidupan pribadinya, dicurahkan dalam satu melodi yang indah dilagu tersebut.
